What does my dancer need for class?
Find EAC dress codes below. Proper attire is required by the fourth week of class each semester.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Uniform listed below is required for weekly dance class. There may be different color tights or shoes required for Showcase costumes. These are communicated mid-semester.
Ballet
ACRO
ALL Levels:
*Plain Black leotard- no skirt attached, no rhinestones, no color.
*Ballet pink tights with NO seams (Showcase requires these specific tights: Capezio “Ballet Pink” tights - preferably transition tights)
*Hair MUST be in a bun for class.
*NO shorts or skirts
*SHOES FOR KINDERBALLET: Any pink ballet shoes
*SHOES FOR ALL OTHER LEVELS OF BALLET: "Hanami" Canvas Split Sole Ballet Slipper in the color light pink
*Boys: Black canvas ballet shoes, black knee high socks, black dance pants, and a white tshirt. All boys in level 4 need mens black dance leggings.
ALL Levels:
*Black acro/gymnastics shoes
*Comfortable and age appropriate dancewear
*If you are in only a leo, dancer must wear tights or shorts/leggings
*If your dancer is in a tshirt, it must be fitted enough so it does not fly over ones head in a handstand
*Hair must be up and out of face.
LYRICAL / CONTEMPORARY
Level 1:
*Any comfortable dancewear is acceptable.
*Tan jazz shoes
*Hair up and out of face
*If tights are needed for Showcase: Capezio tights in color Light Suntan - preferably transition tights
Level 2:
*Any comfortable dancewear is acceptable
*Any of the following footwear for class: Contemporary socks, pirouettes, foot undies, jazz shoes, ballet flats, barefoot
*If tights are needed for Showcase: Capezio tights in color Light Suntan - preferably transition tights
ALL Levels:
*Tan tights (for Showcase will need Capezio tights in color Light Suntan - preferably transition tights)
*Any color leotard
*Shorts are acceptable as long as they are dance shorts
*Leggings are acceptable as long as they are comfortable, fitted, and do not hang past your ankles
*Hair must be pulled up and out of face.
TAP SHOES: black tap shoes
JAZZ SHOES: tan jazz shoes
JAZZ 3: Jazz 3 also requires tan character heel shoes, with a strap.
TAP & JAZZ
ALL Levels:
*Black hiphop sneakers
*Any dancewear/athletic wear is acceptable
*Hair up and out of face
